

They'll freeze for a moment every second or two and the audio holds as well, but only during those freezes. It's probably just the least taxing.) They all seem to stutter and this is even at low settings. The problem: None of my games run well except Poly Bridge. I used the DDU in safe mode to clear out everything I had and then installed the RX 480 driver (most recent one). I had been running fine for at least a month. Also, other people have run larger cards in this tower without ill effect. It drew power from the PCI slot only, but well above the special 35W specification given in the technical manual for the optiplex. Now, I was running an ancient GT 440 just fine for awhile.

My steps for a solution thus far have produced no meaningful results.

Upon further investigation, I found that the "USB Root Hub" device drivers are not properly installed on the deployed OptiPlex 790. Despite the fact that Dell does not offer a driver pack for Windows 10 for the 790, an upgrade to Windows 10 using the Windows Update method works fine however, when I run a LiteTouch install, the keyboard and mouse do not work unless I am using a PS2 keyboard and mouse. I'm trying to successfully deploy Windows 10 on a Dell OptiPlex 790 in my lab environment in order to push Windows 10 out to several of these PCs currently in production.
